Ms. Stella Kakeeto

Project Manager — Grants Manager

Ms. Stella Kakeeto is a Grants Manager at the Makerere University School of Public Health. She has over a decade of experience managing donor-funded research programmes, specialising in grants and contracts management, research compliance, financial oversight and lifecycle management of international research grants. She supports proposal development, budget preparation, grant negotiations and compliance monitoring for collaborative global health research projects. She also plays the role of mentoring researchers and research administrators in effective grant management. She serves on the executive boards of the East African Research and Innovation Management Association, the International Professional Recognition Council, and she’s a council member on the International Network of Research Management Societies.

Stella is the Project Manager for this project providing oversight and ensuring that the project is implemented in compliance with the NIHR and institutional grant requirements, as well as providing financial compliance guidance to the project research team.
